Golf. Gather. Relax.
We built this outdoor paradise for golf fanatics who wanted a space to practice their game while also having an area where they could relax and socialize with friends and family. To accomplish this, we graded the land and built a retaining wall along the perimeter of the backyard.
Approximately half of the backyard is an artificial turf, three-hole putting green. The surrounding retaining wall doubles as a convenient seating wall and includes built-in outdoor lighting to help illuminate the space.
Half of the landscape is dedicated to outdoor living enjoyment, with a 900-square-foot bluestone patio featuring a large see-through outdoor fireplace with wood storage boxes.Raised planting beds keep this area compact while leading to a lush green space.
A second bluestone patio, at 400 square feet, includes an outdoor kitchen with a Big Green Egg grill and granite countertops. A natural wood pergola provides a balanced amount of shade over a hot tub while shrubs and the wall provide a sense of privacy.
We included a variety of plantings that add pops of color throughout the landscape, including black-eyed Susans, spice baby viburnums, May night salvias, purple phlox, wedding bells, dwarf pagoda hollies, and more.
